LEGO Creation Center - For those who believe the world was created 1 brick at a time…
Come experience, imagine and build. Learn the limitless potential of the worlds you can create with your own 2 hands. Start by examining the amazing custom LEGO® creations by the blocky minds of the
Magic City LEGO Users Group (MCLUG) and then move into your own world of creative bricking!
Create your own masterpiece in the free play area. Just remember to take a picture of your creations, because the free play bricks will return to the primordial soup as soon as their creator walks away!
Once you have fine tuned your powers of creation, participate in one of the many challenge builds that will be taking place though out the weekend. From bridge building to architectural works of block art, you can compete for prizes and enjoy the satisfaction of building your imagination into reality!
Below is a short summary of the contests for the weekend for the LEGO® Expo. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. Check back later for times.
Friday:
Best Build - Individuals will compete to build the best build from a random draw of LEGO® bricks. Subjective judging.
Sat & Sun:
Tallest - Individuals will compete to build the tallest unsupported structure from LEGO® pieces.
Weight-Bearing Bridge - Individuals or teams will build a structure that spans a gap. Weight will be applied until the structure collapses. Winner will be the one that can build a structure that supports the most weight.
Drop - Teams is given LEGO® pieces and must make a build bigger than a specified size. The build is dropped from a certain height. Winner is lowest number of pieces broken away from the main structure.
All Weekend:
Guess The Number - Guess the number of LEGO® pieces in a container. Winner will be announced on Sunday afternoon.
